Nana Lu's boat! All aboard, ocean explorers! Do dolphins like crackers? Wild dolphins eat fish. We never feed them. How many dolphins will we see? I want to dance with them! A dolphin dance party?! Wonder time! My wonder question: how do dolphins breathe? Rule one: life jackets on, always. Snug as a cracker! Rule two: stay seated and hold on while we move. Rule three: quiet voices. Dolphins hear very well. Quiet voices. Quiet dance feet. It breathed out the TOP of its head! That is a blowhole. It's like a nose on top of the head. Dolphins are mammals. They breathe air, like us, so they come up to breathe. I can hold my breath too! Pwaaah! Not long enough. Dolphins breathe air! That's beautiful AND brilliant! Now let's look closer. What else can dolphins do? Dolphins click, and the echo bounces back. It tells them where fish are! Like a sound flashlight! Try-It test! The echo game! I'm the dolphin. Eyes closed. Priya, clap softly! Clap… clap… I hear you! I found her! My turn! Follow the clap! Dolphins listen to echoes to find fish. Their ears are super. Now, a Bloom Song! Splash-splash… WOW! Up for air! Dive back down! Dolphins dance all around! Click, click, whistle, whee! Up for air, dive down, dolphin family! Breathe from the blowhole on top of the head, Dolphins are mammals, so we've all said! That's right! Dolphin breathes? Blowhole air! Who's in a pod? All of us! Ozzie's sharks use gills. Are dolphins the same? A shark is a fish. It has gills to breathe water. A dolphin has a blowhole to breathe air. A shark's tail swishes side to side. A dolphin's tail moves up and down! Shark swish! Dolphin dive! Two different ways to swim! Shark tail: swish, swish. Dolphin tail: up, down, up, down. Both go! Hee hee! Different tails, different swimming. Both are perfect for the ocean. Fish and mammals. Different bodies, different ways to breathe! Look! Here comes the whole pod! A group of dolphins is called a pod. They talk to each other with whistles. Lolo whistle! Pffft! One, two, three… ten dolphins! A mama and a baby. Keep watching, and stay quiet. The baby is all alone! We should go get it! Let's call it over here! We keep our distance. Wild dolphins don't need our help. Wonder it… draw it… figure it out! Shh. Listen for whistles. We'll be quiet, so the pod can hear. Mama! That's the best crackerless ending. Dolphins use whistles to find family. And we helped by being quiet. Quiet helps animals.
